Quinnlan wanted to go out and show off her new dress. Sure when it was delivered there was no note attached to it but she knew who it was from. That James Dean fellow. She didn't mind that he'd spent his money on her. That was his decision after all and she wasn't there to be embarrassed by it when he got it. She she slipped it on and it fit like a glove. She briefly wondered how he knew her dress size but it was only a fleeting thought. She had no friends besides River so she called him up and asked him to take her window shopping. Because he was who he was and couldn't say no to her he agreed. Quinn felt rather bad that she used him to get her way but that was her female right... right? Right.

River yawned for the fourth time. It was one o'clock in the afternoon and he was peacefully sleeping when Quinn called. He was angry for a moment before he got over it. She wanted to go out he'd take her out. He took her to Elvis Presley Blvd to window shop. They had nice shops there but he knew she'd not let him by her anything. It really irked him that he couldn't give her things she wanted but she always said that she didn't feel comfortable with that seeing as how he felt toward her. He couldn't help that. She told him time and time again she only liked him as a friend but he couldn't seem to let the possibility of them being more go. He yawned again as she stopped in front of a jewlery store and looked in the window. Her eyes almost fell out of their sockets and she was practically drooling. "Do you want one?" He questioned already knowing the answer'd be no.

Quinn turned to voice her opinion at River and what he could do with his charity and bleeding heart when she saw James Dean walking their way. She didn't know what to say, if she should say something to him at all. "Hey Mr. Dean." She greeted and smiled warmly. She gestured to the dress he'd sent her. "Thank you for the dress. It fits perfect. Even though you shouldn't have."

River turned to see who Quinn was talking to. Mr. Dean? Some guy sent her the dress she was wearing?! Why didn't he know about this. He huffed and turned to get a look at this guy. He was standing close to Quinn, on purpose. He was slowly wearing her down, (or so he thought) and he'd not have some rebel Hollywood boy show up and ruin it all for him. He looked over the other man standing in front of them with a cold eye. He was nothing special, probably couldn't do anything other then act badly anyway. He knew he was being impolite but he didn't give a rip. She'd accept a dress from this strange guy but she couldn't accept jewelry from her best friend... who happened to be a guy... and in love with her. What was up with that?!

James smiled back at Quinn. "I'm glad you accepted it. And didn't personally come and find me with another ice cream cone." He saw that she laughed at that and blushed. He liked that he could make her do that. He shook himself. Oh lord what was he getting himself into? And so fast! He then noticed the guy next to her. He didn't miss the look on his face as they briefly made eye contact. "I'm James Dean." He greeted to the other guy as he took out a cigarette. He then turned to Quinn and with the cigarette sticking out of his mouth he gestured with his head toward the guy. "This your boyfriend?" He asked nonchalantly even though his pulse quickened. He really hoped he wasn't.

"Who River?!" Quinn laughed again. "No. He's just a friend. I wanted to go out today and window shop and he was..." She didn't want to say her only friend. How would that look? Bad. "He was the only one who was available." She smiled and clasped her hands behind her back and rocked back on her heels. "So what are you doing over here?"

"Oh." He commented as he puffed on his cigarette, secretly he was exstatic. "Well I'm here to see if Elvis is home." He guestured down the street to where Graceland was. There was a throng of screaming women standing along the gate and walls. He chuckled and shook his head. He shouldn't laugh, it was becoming like that for him too.

"Wow. He really is famous isn't he?" Quinn would have to get one of his records and find sometime to listen to it. She'd have to see what this Presley boy is all about. She turned and looked at James. She'd have to go see one of his movies and see what he was all about too. Of course she could just go to dinner with him but that would be too easy and Quinnlan Keeley Arielle never did anything the easy way.

River stood there quietly listening to the easy conversation Quinn and James were having. He wasn't too happy about this new development so he took out his own cigarette and lit up. Puffing the smoke in and out he looked around as if he wasn't paying them anymind when in actuality he was paying a lot of attention and not only to the words they were saying. To thier body language too. This was very bad for him.

"Oh I almost forgot! I was going to make dinner for River and I and you're more then welcome to join us." She offered with a warm smile. "I was thinking around 5:30?" She suggested her foot jittering around. As soon as she caught it she stopped it, she also had to repress the sigh she wanted to expell. She couldn't be caught acting all worked up over a man! What would happen to her reputation?! She waited for his answer, she really hoped that he'd say yes.

"Dinner would be great." James told her with a smirk. He didn't much care that her friend would be there but he couldn't do anything about it. He'd just ignore that River guy. It'd still be a good night because... There was no way in hell he'd finish that thought. It just wasn't manly. "Don't worry about me finding your place." He grinned rakishly and dropped his cigarette to the ground then stompted it out. "I'll see you at 5:30 then." He commented then looked her up and down once before he walked away with a wave. He'd get there an hour early just to be there before River.
