Elvis closed his eyes and let out a very short chuckle. She knew exactly what was going on in his head, well at least she should know. She was being territorial and it was killing him. It was killing him because it confirmed that the feeling was mutual between them. She did care about him as much as he cared about her. And it burned him up that she refuses to take that next step. He swirled a fry in his ketchup, "There's nothing going on." He looked at her as her cold hand warmed up to his, he gently started to caress the top of her hand with his thumb.

Aaliyah took a seat next to Quinn. Then she leaned slightly in toward her, "See, it's big head and big head Jr." She sighed as the waitress came around. After she ordered she turned her attention back to Quinn. "They're kinda famous. Elvis here was a local celebrity... and now he's buying everyone caddies. You've must have heard of him... He's the one who jiggles too much. So now when he's on T. V. they only film him from the waist up. Jimmy, he's a breakout actor. Both men and women are eager to hump his leg." She sat straight up then crossed her legs. "Did I catch you up on things?" Aaliyah questioned dishing on Elvis and James. "Being stared at is one of the pet peeves of hanging out with these two." She said while shaking her head.

Quinn raised an eyebrow and looked over at the two men in a new light. "Oh." Was all she said. "I didn't know. I don't watch t.v. or go out." She murmered. Well she didn't like famous people too much. Being a reporter sometimes she had to deal with them and found all of them to be stuck up and expectant for you to cater to their wants and wishes. She found her eyes were now narrowed and she was staring evily. No wonder. She cleared her throat and turned back to Aaliyah. She wrote her telephone number on a napkin and slid it over to her. "Here you and Tacori can call some time. I'm sorry I have to go. I just remembered I have to go do something..." She trailed off and stood up. She didn't feel comfortable standing in other people's light. She was a behind the scenes kinda girl that's why she was a reporter.

Elvis looked up and notices the red head getting up. He quickly got up and stops her. "You're leaving so soon?" He questions in his country boy twang. "I haven't gotten to know you, and you didn't tell me anything about this AFR." His piercing blue eye gazed down on her as he smiled till his dimples began to show. He place a hand on his chest after a few moments of silence. "But if you have to leave... Maybe Cori could bring you by sometimes. Then we could talk about the AFR, promise." He held his hand out for her to shake. Despite his mood at that time his southern raising shined through.

Quinn smiled politely, her grandmother had raised her right. Her smile was cold but it was there. "Oh I wont bore you with it Mr. Presley." She knew that she was being overly polite now and that she was coming off cold but people like him and that James fellow really pissed her off. She sent her gaze over at the other man who was sitting at the counter looking at her as well. She should have known something was up when he didn't shake her hand. Probably thought that she had germs or that he was too important to shake hands with a commoner. She lifted her head in the air. "It was a pleasure..." She trailed off and took a step backward.

James stared at the red head called Quinn and wondered what had gotten into her so suddenly. She wasn't like this when she first had shown up with the other two girls. Maybe she was bipolar. He shrugged mentally. He wanted to say something to her but didn't know what to say. He didn't want to come off as a jerk. He heard her talk about the AFR and he knew what that was. He'd heard things about those women who belonged to it but Quinn didn't seem like what he'd heard about. He got to his feet still not sure what to say or do.

Elvis' happy face faded, "Yeah... Nice meeting you Quinn." He bowed his head with a faint smile. He slowly started to back up also. "Hope that We'll meet again real soon." He polite remarked as he headed back to his stool. He didn't know what was the girl's problem. She seemed nice whe she first walked in.

Tacori turned around on her stool and looked at Quinn, "Did you need a ride back?" She offered, "It beats paying cab or bus fares." She smiled sweetly. She rested her arm on Elvis' shoulder as she got down off the stool. "It would be no problem at all."

"I'll be okay thanks anyway. I'll see you around." She waved and walked to the door, her stomach growling on the way. Her bottom lip poked out, she didn't get to eat anything. Oh well she'd just have to pick something up some where else before she headed home. She had an article do by the end of the week and she hadn't even started it yet. Once outside she glanced tentatively in the window of Al's diner and watched the four friends and wondered to herself why she always had to sabotage things. She had a chance to actually make friends and she blew it. She could just go back in and pick up where she had left off and not let a little thing like them being famous get in the way but she knew better. She had too much pride and she knew that them being famous would get in the way somewhere down the line. With a sigh she turned and walked away.

Tacori sat back down next to Elvis. He was stirring some sugar into his coffee, looking down. "Hey El, I've got you a welcome back present." She informed, stuggling to look into his eyes. "It's in the car. We were going to swing by and give it to you."

Elvis looked around at Tacori, he couldn't stay mad at her for too long. It was something about her eyes and the way she sometimes smiled at him. He lifted up his hand that was closest to her and combed his long fingers through her wavy hair then cupped her face. "You know you didn't have to get me anything." He mumbles with a smile, "Seeing you is enough." He pulled her face to him and kissed her forehead. After he did that a few gasps and whispers resounded behind him in the booths. They probably think that Tacori is his girlfriend. Boy if she was, No one could imagine how happy he would be.

After Elvis kissed her on her forehead she felt a weird sensation in the pit of her stomach. Why does he do those types of things to me!? She whined inside of her head. Elvis sure knew how to get to her. But she'd never admit out loud that he was doing it. After she hears the commotion behind them she dipped her head down. She knew what they were whispering about. Or so she thought. She cleared her throat and looked at Elvis, "Well it's the least I could do. Look what all you have done for me. I'm tired of being on the receiving end. Can I give you things sometimes?" She questions giving him the sad face that always win him over.

James sat back down after Quinn left. He poked at his fries and discovered that he wasn't hungry anymore. With a heavy sigh he looked up and noticed that Aaliyah was staring at him. "What?" He mumbled with a confused look on his face. He dug in his pocket and put some money on the bar. "Hey Elvis, I'll talk to you later. Thanks for the ride man." He commented and walked out the door. He went to Elvis's Cadillac and got his suitcase out of the backseat before starting down the sidewalk. While walking he noticed on the other side of the street a familiar red head peering in a window of a fancy clothing store. Without thinking about it, he jogged across the street and up to her. "Miss Arielle?" He questioned quietly.

Elvis seen her face and quickly closed his eyes. He hated it when she did that face. He couldn't resist her when she did it. Elvis wasn't the type to be on the receiving end of things. He like giving stuff away, to make people happy. He finally opened his eyes and found Tacori still pouting. He smiled, "Ok Ok! Well kids lets eat so we could head back to the house, mkay?" He advised as he dug into his burger.
